Welcome to the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University SACS website.  A&T is in the 2010 cohort for reaffirmation by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.  This site provides a detailed view of A&T's compliance with SACS Core Requirements, Comprehensive Standards, and Federal Requirements. The Chancellor's Cabinet led the reaffirmation.

Recognizing that SACS reaffirmation is a university-wide effort requiring the active participation of a broad swath of university stakeholders, we engaged an interdisciplinary team of administrators, faculty, staff, and students.  In addition, the A&T Board of Trustees supported the SACS effort by sharing their thoughts on the student learning outcomes focus of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).

We began our SACS reaffirmation journey in fall 2007 with the establishment of a 25-member SACS Steering Committee. Twelve subcommittee chairs were selected from the SACS Steering Committee and charged with recruiting and forming their individual teams. The subcommittees were assigned various SACS Principles to draft. To ensure compliance, a twelve-member SACS Document Review Committee read the narratives and provided feedback to the subcommittees.  Additionally, a four-member SACS Review Panel went over the reports a second time.

Other committees contributing to the effort included the SACS QEP Committee, QEP Marketing Committee, and a six-member SACS Policies Task Group.  The SACS Liaisons in the offices of the deans were a critical connection to their schools and colleges in helping us collect information and documents.

Thanks to all Aggies, and others, who assisted with the reaffirmation.
